What I didn't realize then (but know with absolute certainty now) is that successful trading isn't about finding some magical combination of indicators or setups.

It's about understanding the actual game you're playing.

Think about it...

Would you sit down at a high-stakes poker table without knowing the rules? Without understanding pot odds, position play, or basic strategy?

Of course not.

Yet that's exactly what most traders do every single day in the market.

They jump in without understanding:

How market makers operate

Why prices really move

How options really work

What drives institutional money flow

How to properly size positions

When to adjust vs. when to exit

Instead, they focus on surface-level patterns and indicators, wondering why they keep losing even when they "called the move" correctly.

Here's the thing...

The market doesn't care about your technical analysis.

It doesn't care about your favorite indicator.

And it definitely doesn't care about your profit targets.

The market only cares about supply and demand, risk and reward, fear and greed.

Until you understand these fundamental truths - and learn to play by the market's rules, not your own - you're just gambling.
