Whenever I deal with premium spreads I’m always focused on 2 principles…To mitigate failure and increase profitability.1. Risk/Reward ratio.

• With premiums I always aim for a 3:1 ratio. This rule has served me well in the past few years.

2. Follow the 80:20 rule and be aggressive with your profit taking.

• When you’re 80% - 90% up in the trade close the whole thing or at least most of it and take out your profits without taking on more risk. 

There’s obviously more to it with market analyses…

But personally, focusing on these 2 has helped me make better decisions and better trades.
